Growing up in a farming family Ulrich was introduced to hunting by his father, an avid hunter and marksman, during the sixties. In 1966 (10 years of age) Ulrich shot his first trophy, a Springbuck. Having been exposed to hunters from a very young age and sitting by campfires listening to tales told by hunters from an era when Elephants still roamed free and herds of Wildebeest covered the earth as far as the eye could see,... hearing how the hunter survived a Lion attack firsthand, with scars to prove it, Ulrich`s destiny was decided. He is a hunter with passion and a responsibility to preserve nature for generations to come.

Having grown up in rural South Africa I had the privilege of spending my growing years in the outdoors, learning and trying to understand the Fauna and Flora of the African bush. This resulted in a deep love for the African wilderness, which was to play an instrumental role in my passion for hunting.

I became involved in Professional Hunting and since then have been fully ingrained in the hunting industry. My childhood dreams, coupled with the rich tapestry of African life have been the driving force in my journey to becoming a Professional Hunter in the true sense of the word.
